  • Covering Letter from Employer (on an official company letterhead) detailing your position, purpose of visit, and assertion that you will return.

  • Get a Digital Photograph: Ensure you have a recent digital photograph.

  • Completing the DS-160 Form: Begin by filling out the Form DS-160, the Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. Provide accurate information about your travel plans and personal details. You must upload a recent photograph that meets the photo requirements. Once submitted, print the DS-160 confirmation page; you will need to present this at your visa interview.

  • Scheduling the Visa Interview: After completing the DS-160, you must schedule an appointment for an interview with a consular officer at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate. The wait time for an interview appointment can vary, so it’s advised to book your visa interview appointment as early as possible. Do not forget to print and bring the interview confirmation letter.

  • Pay the Visa Application Fee: You are required to pay a non-refundable application fee; some applicants may also need to pay an issuance fee depending on their nationality. Fee payment can typically be made online, in person at a bank, or through a money transfer service depending on the U.S. Embassy or Consulate’s instructions.

  • Get Your Biometrics Done: Book a slot & get your fingerprints/biometrics taken at Visa Application Center (VAC).
